(No matter appearance wise, as the holes face the rear of the printer.) It was a I dont know what else to do? Reconnecting the scanner from the outside, using Microsoft Word, or unplugging your scanner for 6 months probably will not work very well.

Test it in a known working printer.
I then did a scan acquire through Windows of a blank scanner bed, which appeared to work fine.

Don't use the 750 PSC software with XP. Thanks!!! Make sure you have the correct cartridges. The error condition causes the job to block the print que, but since the job can easily be deleted, I wouldn't call it "stuck".FWIW, I had already tried both of your Hp Psc 750 Printer Driver Free Download
Thanks! I've never seen them fail to retract unless they are installed incorrectly, and only if a repairperson has messed up. Good Luck! There are probably some remnants of the old software installation left in the registry.
